Cameras and Dancers
Cameras and Dancers is a location-specific Instameet series produced by Jacob Jonas The Company (JJTC) and co-hosted by a photographer or influencer, a dance company, and a venue — typically a cultural institution or architectural space. #CamerasandDancers provides a platform for artistic creation through the merging of dance and photography. Each event takes place over a four-hour period where the artists spontaneously and freely collaborate, producing a unique portfolio of images.
I’ve had the pleasure of participating in nine Cameras and Dancers events from 2015 through 2018, working with Paul Taylor Dance Company, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and Tiler Peck of the New York City Ballet. I’ve also co-hosted two Instameets with JJTC at the Hammer Museum and Tiler Peck at The Music Center in Los Angeles.
